Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer is also an accomplished actress. A beautiful and smart actress she serves as an inspiration for many Asian actors who wish to be successful in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she gained fame when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese gangster O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. At the same time her role as a leading lady in flops at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were equally prominent. In later years, she worked as a voice actress in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's part on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the positive results. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself her status as a well-known actor.
